Mac Wrap Strap

Website design and website development for a packaging and wrapping supplier.

“David Pita has redesigned our website to bring it up to the most modern appearance and functionality that we as a small business could afford.

He listened patiently to my desires and requirements and then steered me in the direction to achieve what I wanted within the budget we had.

From the beginning when he presented the options, then to design and adjustments, testing and refinements, to the final product he always provided intelligent and informative advice and answers.

I’ve had several comments since the updated website launched, all of which have been favourable as to the ease of use and checkout.

I have no hesitation to recommend anyone who either wants a new website or a modernisation to their current website to give David the opportunity to direct them.”

Great product, great service, poor website

Prior to working together MacWrap Strap’s website was working. It was generating sales but nowhere near the volume it could have been.

Selling over 1000 products direct to industry they had competitive prices and stellar service. One problem – the website was clunky.

The mobile experience was poor, at least five clicks were needed to find a product and product discovery was hard to do.

Making it super easy to find products was key

The poor user experience of the website meant that only the most committed were be able to buy from the website.

Minimising the number of clicks people had to take to access a product was solved through an innovative drop-down mega menu that instantly showed people the range of products on the site.

The new mega menu meant that anyone can now instantly see the product range without a single click – only a mouse hover is needed.

Making product discovery easier was also done with the new search bar where people can search by product name, category or SKU.

Optimising the category pages uncovered hidden benefits

With over 90 categories and sub-categories, and 1000 products, helping the user navigate them to find what they needed was done through re-designing the category pages.

Category pages are usually an un-filtered dump of products which require users to filter to narrow down on what they want to see. The newly designed category pages take a different approach. They show users all of the sub-categories. The user can easily scroll through each sub-category without leaving the category page.

This means users can browse the store faster with less clicks and buy more products.

The advantage of this is speed. Nicola can quickly create sales pages and sell new courses and coaching programs on her site without needing any further design or development work done.

Monthly revenue increased by 157%

After one month of launching the site, monthly revenue is 157% higher than what it used to be before the website re-design.

Smarter user experience and crisper design made it easier for shoppers to buy what they needed and it paid off!
