My Little Feet

Website design and website development for a rapidly growing childcare centre.

“I absolutely would love to leave a testimonial, you have been unreal to work with and made the whole website process so easy.

I was referred to David through a colleague and am so grateful for the recommendation. From the first conversation, David was extremely clear and friendly, and if there was anything I didn’t understand he made sure he explained things in terms I could understand. He follows up all conversations with detailed, dot-pointed lists of key tasks so that nothing gets missed.

David is exceptional in that he doesn’t just create a ‘pretty website’, but spends time researching and understanding the target customer base, so that all designs, text, and functionality is effectively targeted.

I have had negative experiences in the past with designers and developers and I honestly cannot fault David at any point of this process. If there was a road bump or something unexpected he would work around the clock to resolve it as soon as possible or create alternative solutions.

I would strongly recommend working with David to anyone looking for a designer/developer and am sure I will work with him in the future on other projects.

Thanks again!!”

A new website to support business expansion

In operation for close to a decade My Little Feet were expanding and onto opening their third centre. They needed an upgraded website to contribute to their marketing. A website that would convert more visitors into enquiries.

This was done by not only giving the website a visual refresh, but restructuring how each page was laid out so that each page became a mini sales page selling the benefits of parents sending their children to the centre.

Selling non-verbally

One of the key features of My Little Feet is that they’re a family owned business where every child is known, and staff are like extended family.

Communicating this warm vibe was essential, as it’s a key differentiator for My Little Feet and one of the things parents say they love about it.

The friendly vibe is communicated with an abundance of photos of smiling happy children at the centre. The old website used a lot of stock photos which left a cool and cold impression. Warm colours, round fonts, and playful illustrations throughout the page further communicate that My Little Feet is a warm and happy place to be.

Website copy that sells the benefits

Most websites have ‘me centered’ copy. Copy that talks about how the company is awesome, but isn’t oriented to what the customer is looking for, or what the customer needs to help them make a decision.

That’s what their web copy was like before working together. Now their web copy sells the benefits of coming, and paints a vivid picture of the amazing time children will have, and addresses all of the parents concerns. After reading the copy My Little Feet is the ONLY childcare centre a parent would want to send their child to.

Rankings were preserved with a SEO migration

When a site is redesigned and redundant pages are deleted and new pages are made, all of the hard won SEO benefits can be lost.

To mitigate this, and to preserve the rankings the website had attained over the years, an SEO migration was done to ensure no rankings were lost. In fact after the migration the website ranked higher for certain keywords!

Making the website load fast (585 milliseconds to be precise) was one of the factors that led to higher Google rankings.
